  • Emerson’s back! And is taking a much needed break after its 7,145 mile jaunt from Neah Bay, Washington to Australia. This one-of-a-kind 28’ rowboat is in the Schooner Creek Boat Works display and available for all to see. Jacob, the man that rowed the boat and set a new record solo, unsupported rowing record, will be at the show too. Keep an eye out for times he’ll be at the show.   • An electric boating experience. Electric boats and boating are making serious in-roads in the northwest. The Portland Boat Show is proud to showcase a couple interesting additions to this growing cadre of boats. Duffy builds a variety of lengths, Portland Electric Boat Company, not only rents these wonderfully quiet and 100% emission-free boats but will be selling them at the Portland Boat Show. They’re bringing a 22’ model to the show. Also, Schooner Creek Boat Works is showing off their 27’ Devlin Solar Sal, a solar-powered, electric boat that should get a lot of attention at the 2020 show.
  • Boating technology. See what’s new from trolling motor auto-pilots and new electric motors to stabilizing gyros, advanced rigging and solar power and charging systems. Want to see what’s new in boating…”new” is what you’ll find at the 2020 Portland Boat Show.
    Surf, ski or board. The biggest and best names in ski boats, wakesurfing and wakeboarding boats will be represented at the 2020 Portland Boat Show along with board and accessory displays. Bruce Schwab will be at the show with his company, Ocean Planet, in the Schooner Creek Boat Works booth. Bruce has circumnavigated the world twice in his 60’ sailboat Ocean Planet. In fact, he was the first American to complete the Vendee Globe race in a time of 109 days and 20 hours.
  • Yachts. It wouldn’t be much of a boat show without a few yachts to ogle. The Portland Boat Show has them! Prestige, Jenneau, Nimbus, Carver, Beneteau are all expected at this year’s show.
